Makhadzi Matorokisi Dance Move Takes Over Mzansi
King Monada’s dance hit Malwedhe sparked a fainting trend in 2018. This year, Limpopo-born musician Makhadzi has inspired the Matorokisi challenge. South Africans have been sharing videos of them performing the dancing trend via social media sites.
Last year, King Monada’s dance hit Malwedhe proved to be a very popular song, but also as a result of the dancing trend it inspired.
Many video clips were shared on social media, showing how South Africans were fainting while the song played in the background.
Now, the talented Limpopo born artist Makhadzi has inspired dance trend of her own, thanks to her current hit song called Matorokisi. The artist Makhadzi and Dj Call Me are back with another powerful song Matorikisi.
The Citizen reported that the dance move was inspired by the traditional Venda dance domba– as done by girls on the cusp of adulthood.

Makhadzi, whose real name is Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, has currently shared countless video clips of others performing the Matorokisi challenge via her Instagram account.
