Musa Mseleku, a renowned polygamist, has proven his expertise in the field with his four wives. Since the premiere of their reality show in 2016, the family has gained immense popularity. Musa’s exceptional abilities as a polygamist are evident in the way he nurtures and cares for his children. Unlike other men with multiple wives, this Durban polygamist truly supports and looks after his family, providing them with a garage full of luxury cars and individual homes for each wife and their children. Although each wife plays a significant role, the husband remains the head of the household.
However, even the most dedicated parents have their favorite child, and Musa is no exception. While he treats all his wives equally, it’s hard to deny that he has a preferred wife among his progeny. Ma Cele, the first wife, approved of this arrangement, but her status in the household is hardly respectable. Despite having three additional wives, Musa’s treatment of Ma Cele is abhorrent and deeply contemptuous.
On the other hand, Musa’s second wife, Ma Yeni, seems to be his true love. Allegations have surfaced that they were dating even before he wed his first wife. His affection for her is evident, and he brightens up whenever they are together.
Ma Khumalo, the third wife, has had the most challenging experience in the marriage as she is unable to conceive a child. This is a heart-wrenching experience for any woman, but Musa’s opposition to alternative reproductive techniques has made it worse. It’s unfair and careless of him to treat Ma Khumalo so unjustly.
Finally, the third wife, Ma Ngwabe, is the most irritating to Musa as she refuses to be treated like a doormat. She’s a fighter and doesn’t give up when faced with a problem. Despite being the “last wife” in the polygamous marriage, she too is neglected and deserves better treatment.
Musa Mseleku may appear to be an excellent polygamist on the surface, but a closer look at his treatment of his wives reveals his biases and preferences. It’s time for him to start treating all his wives with equal respect and care, as they deserve.
