The educational soapie recently confirmed that actor, Cornet Mamabolo has taken a break from the show to focus on his personal interests.

The 31-year-old actor also revealed on his Instagram account that he’s taking a break for the first time since season 1 to focus on his business, Digni Financial Services.

The actor recently trended after he shared a picture of himself with a cast on his arm on Instagram.

He told his followers on Instagram that he fractured his arm and that doctors recommend he put on a cast and assured fans that he’ll be completely healed by October.

Leshole Mabitsela

Actor, Thabo Mkhabela whose been playing the role of Leshole Mabitsela since season one, temporarily exited the show in June.

His character, Leshole Mabitsela left Turfloop after he got a job offer as a pilot in another province.

In reality, the actor exited the show to mourn the passing of his on-screen father Charles Maja who played the role of Big Boy Mabitsela.

The late Maja passed away in April after suffering a stroke.

Neither Skeem Saam nor the actor confirmed his departure from the show as his exit is part of the storyline and temporary.

Lelo Mthiyane

Actress, Amanda du Pont who plays the role of fan-favorite Lelo Mthiyane also temporarily exited the show to play the role of Mamba on BET_Africa’s Isono.

Rumors of the actress leaving the show began in November 2020 when the channel announced her new role on their social media channels.
