Being the last born of ten children, Simphiwe Majozi comes from a huge household.

After matriculating, Simphiwe studied marketing management at the Universal College Outcomes in Pietermaritzburg.

Simphiwe’s first performance was in theatre in a musical produced by Bheki Mkhwane.

He was also featured on Mike Mvelase (well known as Khapela on Generations)’s a play called Kwasuka Sukela.

Simphiwe is currently an actor on the SABC 1 Uzalo, playing the character of a young criminal from KwaMashu who makes a living by hijacking vehicles and doing other unlawful activities.

He was meant to only make an appearance on one scene, but Uzalo producers and directors were so impressed that they created a role for him.

The actor who used to depend on public transport, however, he had to buy a car because his fans made it difficult for him to get to work on time.

His brother Mxolisi Majozi who mentors him is the manager of Grammy award-winning group Lady Smith Black Mambazo.

His late father was a pastor, and Simphiwe and his siblings were brought up in the church. His love for the arts started in church with him singing and being involved in plays.
