The River season 5 teaser has indicated that Mabutho will kill his father-in-law Zweli Dikana and that Cobra Mokoena has turned a new leaf…he’s now a villain working with Lindiwe.

Why Mabutho kills Zweli in The River season 5

Zweli will find out that Mabutho stole, lied, and manipulated his way to the top.

He will accidentally get killed when he confronts him at the wedding.

Mabutho has always had known that he had to upgrade himself in order to win Nomonde’s heart.

Nomonde is used to the lavish life and won’t marry a broke miner like him.

He had to change his lifestyle and was willing to do whatever it took to get wealthy.

Season five will be centered on Mabutho, Cobra, and Lindiwe’s greed.

Mabutho will potentially steal from Fezile Makhanya’s character.

The show revealed to a local publication that the Isono actor was joining the telenovela this month.

Viewers should expect a love triangle from Mabutho, Nomonde, and Fezile’s characters.

Both Mabutho and Cobra’s characters will be evil as their characters’ goals are to claim their wealth and get out of Refilwe.

Cobra got upgraded by Lindiwe this week and got a title deed of a new house.

He will also get a new car and live the life he’s always dreamt of this season.

The end of season four showed Cobra in the helicopter with Lindiwe when Mohumi got killed.

Cobra made a deal with Lindiwe to get Mohumi killed and knew that he will get rewarded.

Season five will bring major changes for the Mokoenas who have been living in poverty since season one.

A prophet revealed in season two of The River that Lindiwe will lose everyone that she loves.

That prophecy is unfolding as she’s lost two daughters, Mbali and Tumi and she will also lose Zweli.

The prophet told Lindiwe that she will lose her loved ones if she doesn’t change her ways.
